The MIDADE International Meeting is an important event that brings together all Midade member movements around the world. This meeting is scheduled for July 13-21, 2025, in Côte d’Ivoire.
The theme will be: Children on the move in a changing world
It will attract 70 companions and partners and 30 children delegates from different countries. The main objective of Abidjan 2025 is to meet and share children’s ideas and actions on critical issues affecting children’s well-being.
The event will provide an opportunity for participants to engage in meaningful dialogues, exchange best practices and build partnerships to promote the rights and well-being of children: How can each one, in his own language and culture, be an actor in the life of the Church and the world? Already, in the member movements, teams are getting to work to designate their representatives and make their contributions. The children delegates will participate in the discussions and express their views and achievements of their country on issues related to the theme. This is an essential aspect of the meeting because it recognizes the importance of children’s participation in decision-making processes that affect them today or tomorrow.
Experts will also speak in various areas related to child welfare, including education, health, social protection and child protection. These experts will share their knowledge and expertise related to the theme of the meeting. The MIDADE international meeting is expected to generate recommendations that can be implemented to improve the lives of children around the world. These recommendations will be based on the discussions and ideas shared during the meeting and will take into account the diverse perspectives of all participants and also their experiences and achievements.
The full programme is being developed and teams in Côte d’Ivoire are already working on logistical and security arrangements to ensure the smooth running and success of the event.
