Elvire Revaza, from Gabon, new president of IMAC

The international meeting is also the time to elect the new President, Vice-Presidents, and coordinators for each region. The general secretaries and the chaplain are appointed within the following year.

Elvire Revaza, nominated by the movement from Gabon (Central Africa), was elected. Elvire Gwenaël Revaza Adjendja has been involved in the International Movement for the Apostolate of Children (MIDADE) since 1994. Thirty-one (31) years of service to the Catholic Children’s Action Movement, Courageous Hearts – Courageous Souls, starting from the core group of the parish of Saint-Paul des Bois in Port-Gentil, Gabon.
After serving as a leader, “Ya Elvire,” as everyone in Gabon calls her, served as a companion from 1998 to 2022 in the dioceses of Franceville and Libreville. There, she gradually assumed local, diocesan, and national responsibilities, holding several positions in successive offices.
Her career is marked by a strong involvement in the training of children and young people, the structuring of the movement at various levels, and the promotion of education in citizenship and faith. Elvire REVAZA represented the movement at the Catholic Federation of Youth Movements (FEECAM), the National Youth Council of Gabon (CNJG), and the regional and international MIDADE as Secretary General of MIDADE International in 2022.
At the same time, she contributed to the creation and consolidation of the Association of Former Vaillants Hearts – Vaillants Souls, of which she served as Secretary General from 2020 to 2025, while continuing to play a coaching and training role within MIDADE Gabon.
Her career embodies a committed, ethical, and inclusive vision of leadership, at the intersection of educational action, human development, and governance.
Deeply committed to the family, she is fond of the phrase: “Children are not only the future of the Church, they are its present. Their simple faith and creativity must guide us.” Elvire REVAZA currently serves as the Central Director of Human Resources at the Gabonese Ministry of Planning and Foresight. Trained at Omar BONGO University in Libreville and then at Lyon 3 (France), the new president of MIDADE is a Work and Organizational Psychologist, Human Resources Manager, and Sustainable Development Expert.
Another area of interest: her involvement with the environmental education association “Génération Eau-Claire.”
A mother, she was born on August 26, 1979, in Port-Gentil, Gabon.

She succeeds Patricia Rivera of Peru, who has been president since 2019.
